# PRIVACY NOTES
Maps and search work offline against locally stored OpenStreetMap data, so routine use does not contact a server. The app does not require an account and does not include analytics or third-party SDKs. Operator Organic Maps OÜ is registered in Tallinn, Estonia (reg. 16225385) and is a private limited company rather than a non-profit; in April 2025 a group of contributors forked the project as CoMaps over governance and financial-transparency concerns.
